Description
This is my take on Indian folk art style, which is usually symbolic with fine nib pen details.
Shown here are 2 peacocks – Peacocks have always been an extremely important motif in the Madhubani or Mithila school of art. These represent prosperity as they are generally seen during monsoons, which lead to a healthy harvest.
Incorporated within these birds are smaller birds representing new life, new hope, and future.
The Fishes- They symbolize wealth and abundance. The existence of fish means that all the elements of nature are in harmony, and hence, there is prosperity.
Lotus- The lotus flower symbolizes purity, enlightenment, and spiritual unfolding.
Painting size~: A2, on handmade paper from India.
Limited Edition of 10 prints are available in the same size as the painting. Each print is for sale at £275
